21 Years of Completing

I worked out it will take me about this long to finish my ridiculous number of writing projects! Initially, I was going to call it '21 Years of Writing' but then realised, I've already been writing for twice as long as that - hence the new name for this immense project!

What's First?

Well, that question stresses me out! However, it has to be my Young Adult fantasy fiction series which I started ( ahem!) 12 years ago. I recently came across the original paragraph it all grew from, scribbled onto a bit of paper from when I was at Uni (which I can't find again!). I now have 2 boxes worth of notes and drafts - amazing how an idea can grow so much!

Where am I at with The Violet Moon Series?

I have just about completed the first book, The Last of the Opallions, and am in the process of, what I hope will be, the final edit. Books Two and Three are drafted out in full while Books Four and Five are just notes at the moment.

As this will be the most taxing project of all due to its sheer volume, I think it wise to focus on completing this first. But then I'm not very wise, so we'll see ...

I was encouraged to meet another writer of YA fantasy fiction - she's been working on hers for 20 years - I've loads of time yet then!
